Robert Lawrence Stein, born in 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, is more commonly known as R.L. Stein writer of the Goosebumps series of books for children as well as others. He has written over 300 books with there being over 60 books in the original Goosebumps and more than 20 of the Goosebumps: Horrorland books with Why I Quit Zombie School a Horrorland Hall of Horrors book number four, having released on October 1, 2011.
